Description:
Ohio House Bill 96 establishes new cybersecurity requirements for all political subdivisions, including counties, townships, and municipal corporations. This session provides an overview of the law’s key mandates — implementing a cybersecurity program aligned with NIST CSF or CIS Controls, conducting annual cybersecurity training, developing and testing incident response plans, restricting ransomware payments, and reporting incidents to state authorities. Attendees will leave with a practical understanding of what compliance looks like, how to get started, and what free state resources are available to support their organizations.
